The technology on BPA free liners has not been developed to be commercially practical.
All LHTT heat and serve products are a human food grade, USDA inspected quality, pressure cooked for 147 minutes, without any type chemicals leaching into the product.
The processor says the positive value of BPA for permanent stability of products, with even small amounts of acidity, is such that any chance of replacement of the BPA process will be far off in the distant future. (BPA lining adds years of storage life to prevent metal cans from acidity penetration) At this time the plus side of BPA for USDA inspections will assure it’s continued use in the USA. If something can be developed that is better, and approved by USDA we will certainly pounce on it when, and if ever commercially available.
For years of preserved freshness store cans at room temperature. Once our heat and serve is opened it is recommended to be removed from the container, and retained in a heated or refrigerated state for safety.
Repeat: We do not have a canner or even know of a canner anywhere in the United States that is able or willing to process our beef in BPA-free cans. Sorry.
